Sailing on Oresund
The possibilities for boat trips on the Sound are many; a steamer, a schooner, a ferry, a fishing boat. Sail from the Port of Helsingor, pass Kronborg and see the coastline of both Denmark and Sweden. Try a morning sailing, with coffee and rolls, a lunch tour with lunch boxes, or sail out on a late afternoon tour with champagne and a gourmet dinner on board.
The Oresund Aquarium
Denmark's smallest, but definitely cosiest saltwater aquarium. Join on a tour beneath the surface and discover the amazing flora and fauna that are in the Sound. You will be invited backstage and will hear about different animals from the Sound such as starfish, flatfish, lobsters and crabs and you can touch and feel the animals. The tour ends in the exhibition with the feeding of one or more aquariums and you have time on your own in the aquarium exhibit.
Kayak and SUP boards
Oresund offers many adventures. Try a ride in a sea kayak and take a trip up the coast to Aalsgaarde and Hornbaek. If you are lucky you may see seals and harbour porpoises along the way. Or try a SUP (Stand Up Paddle) board for fun in the water along the coast. We put together a program from the participants' abilities and desires - and always with a thorough introduction.
Harbour and porpoise safari
Embark on a harbour porpoise safari and experience Denmark's small whale. We sail from the North Harbour in the Oresund Aquarium’s inflatable boat to the area near Hornbaek. Along the way we search for harbour porpoises while the guide from the Øresund Aquarium tells about the fascinating little whale which has become quite common in the Sound.
Helsingør - Helsingborg
Remember that Sweden is just “on the other side”. Enjoy a nice boat trip across the Sound with wonderful views over the water and toward Helsingor city. Go ashore and experience Helsingborg – if you wish we can book a guided tour for you.
Mini Olympics
Helsingor is located in scenic areas where both the beach and the forest invite you to activities such as Mini Olympics. We put together a program where participants are divided into competing teams. The program may include Beach volleyball, running in the forest, football, yoga, swimming from the beach, snorkeling, bike and mountain bike in theforest. Our hosts are ready to ensure a smooth completion of the day. When all are finished, we gather and celebrate the winning team.
Beach and bike
The beach at the marina with beautiful views to Kronborg and Oresund is the obvious area to use for beach play and bike ride. You are divided into teams that pass through different stations. On the beach our instructor is ready with stations such as beach volleyball, build a sandcastle on time, beach games etc. In addition, one of the stations is located by bike distance from the beach, for example at the beautiful Hammer Mill, which you cycle through the forest to and along the coast from. The trip takes place on regular bicycles. Refreshments are served at the beach or in the marina.
